Starting at 9:30am from your hotel, our guide and driver will take you to see 2 famous royal tombs in Hue:
1 Minh Mang Tomb
Nguyen Phuc Dam was Gia Long’s second son. He ascended the throne in 1820 under the name of Minh Mang. He died at the age of 52, after a reign of 21 years. Tomb of King Minh Mang has an air of magnificence and formality, and it architectural design harmoniously blends with its natural surroundings.
2 Khai Dinh Tomb
The construction of the tomb was started on 4 September 1920 and lasted for 11 years. It is the result of the combination of many architectural trends: European and Asian as well as ancient and modern.
12:00-1pm we relax and enjoy Hue local dishes.
Afternoon, we keep going by car to most interesting sites :
3 Citadel and Imperial City
The seat of the Nguyen emperors was in the Citadel, which occupies a large, walled area on the north side of the river. Inside the citadel was a forbidden city where only the concubines, emperors, and those close enough to them were granted access, the punishment for trespassing being death.
4 Thien Mu Pagoda
Items of note housed in the pagoda include a 2,000-kilogram bronze bell cast in 1710, a stele dating from 1715 and the blue Austin motor car which the Venerable Thích Quảng Đức drove to Sài Gòn in 1963 before immolating himself in protest at the policies of the Ngô Đình Diệm regime.
3:30pm take a dragon boat trip( 1 hour) on the beautiful perfume River to see the
local villages, gardens, churches along the river.
